hello, first of all thank you for the videos, but i think you have one minor mistake here, you mentioned that ductus venosus connect left umbilical vein with the IVC, but i think you wanted to say that 1/3 of umbilical vein blood drains into left hepatic portal vein which drains into the IVC via Ductus Venosus connection, and 2/3 of umbilical vein blood drains into main hepatic portal vein.


I can add also the the percentage is variable during pregnancy, e.g untill week 20 1/3 of umbilical vein blood drains into left hepatic portal vein, and towards week 32 almost 20% of umbilical vein blood drains into left hepatic portal vein.
