Perhaps this analysis combined with what NCT themselves have said. They say that their own MV is about them taking on the role of being a boss, and they do this by spying on one another, and preparing to fight one another. However, in the end, they realise that they are one team and don't need to be fighting against each other. Your explanation states that their self-centered attitudes that come with carrying such an important role means that they lock people away, but once they meet someone, this changes and they change themselves because they can see the type of person they are. No idea how the two link, but they're both awesome and pretty complex ideas by themselves. I really enjoyed the MV, their visuals had me shook, honestly.

I like this 'dream' concept so much. And I loved the mv. Very beautifully filmed, with a lot of aesthetics and symbolism. I think the 'without you' director and the 'boss' director is the same person.

I know this video isn't recent but I want to tell you that I like your explanation. It's a quite different but also slightly similar to what the members described. Mark said that the meaning behind Boss is that each member individually thinks he is the top boss, however Mark also said that in the end, everyone realizes they are all bosses, they are more powerful when they all unite.
