✰ About Me ✰
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about disability, neurodiversity and living with Tourette's Syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Orthostatic Hypotension. Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition causing involuntary movements called tics.
I use my social media (TikTok, YouTube & Instagram) to advocate and raise awareness for my conditions and share what it's like living as a neurodivergent and disabled person. I am autistic, sharing my sensory struggles along with my experiences with mental health disorders.
I share the accommodations I use to help my daily life, and I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user documenting my life using mobility aids and how chronic illness symptoms vary from day to day!
I'm a musician with a song called "She's Mine" available on all streaming platforms, and I'm an artist with a small business and website selling my artwork, disability merch. I also love reading, writing, and I'm currently writing a novel and a book/memoir about my life!

And to put this clipshow together must've caused frustration and pain, cause thinking about your tics causes them (i think).
I don't know anyone personally who has ts, yet I can still understand it, thanks to people like you.

You're amazing, Zara!

Happy Tourette’s awareness day everyone!! I got my official Tourette’s diagnosis like 2 weeks ago and it is a fantastic feeling honestly. I just dropped out of my senior year (finally) and tics are so so so much easier to manage when not having to go to school!! Glad I’m not the only one who agrees with that because it was a massive choice for me as I’m sure it would be for most. Your channel has provided me with so much comfort and relatability over the last few years and that is something I’ll never really know how to express my gratitude towards you for that so all I can say is thank you so much for everything and I hope you create a life as beautiful for yourself as you have helped us create for ourselves. 🤍

Thank you for bringing awareness and putting yourself out there. You are a beautiful soul! I have gone back and forth with my badges or pins that let people know I have tics and when they are low key I can pass as “normal” but I put my Tourettes one and pride ones back on my work badge and purse this month. I also so appreciate how much you advocate for using aids. Happy Tourettes awareness and pride!

I have tics as well but its most likely due to FND. I find comfort in the Tourettes community though because I feel anyone with tics can relate. I love how you showed you throughout the years. <3

Oh, I didn't know there was a tourettes awarness day, but of course there would be one!

I'm late identified autistic & have very mild tics that I wasn't really aware were tics until a couple years ago. They only really draw my attention when im really tired or burnt out, but i remember wondering if it was normal or not when I was a kid so I know I've always had them.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that I find it ironic that my husband and I had (maybe our 1st) full conversation about tics just a few days ago, out of nowhere.
How fitting the timing was!
He'd never shared that he thinks he has some & even has felt like he could never be in the military due to his finger tics that would make gun wielding unsafe... I'm sure that had an impact on him as a man in our culture & as he's got several 'notable' military personnel in his family tree - even his mother served in the army during his pregnancy & as a single mother.
We've been together for a decade so it really felt like he had been holding it close to his chest & was opening up about something that was likely weighing heavier on him than need be...

Anywho, TYSM for helping to destigmatize tics & nurodiversity in your own, sizable way!!
Keep it up!🥰💘💞

I just got diagnosed and I finally feel free and able to say that my rics aren't a problem, they're just a part of me. I had to walk out of class yesterday because people we mimicking my tics which then made my tics worse. My tourettes is only mild but it doesn't make me any less valid. Every single person with tics or any other disability/condition deserves the same level of respect and understanding as a "normal" person. I wish people would just come up to me and ask questions rather than stand, stare, and make fun of me.

We are all so proud of you and everyone dealing with Tourettes. I thank you for showing everyone that you are just a human too! Even though i do not have any neurological disorders or disabilities, i know this helps so many people. I personaly have GAD (Generalized anxiety disorder) and this content just calms me, and helps me realize it will get better. I know neurological disorders are a lot different than GAD, but if you came over something as big as you did, i will one day come over my issues. Even if they will never be fixed, they will get better. And you helped me realize this. Thank you Zara.

It takes a lot to be willing to show and explain how it impacts your life, what you have find that works best for you.
Have another health issues that can result in shaking in my hands and legs the most. I have POTS that can give some shakes or trembling but it’s not often it happens, but when I have strong feelings sometimes it can happen. I have other health issues too, and I have started to learn and listen more to what my body is saying and not just ignore it all the time. Or push the boundaries of what my body can handle.
It’s an relief when you get a diagnosis of why the body is doing what it is doing. You get the recognition that you have felt for a long time, got my first diagnosis when I was 30 and have been in contact with the doctors and other medical staff sense I was a child. I remember coming home after that meeting that I sat on the sofa crying of relief to finally know what is happening in my body.

I have Tourette’s as well, as long as not as bad as you, I understand completely. I have had this tic where I hack very loud and I have gotten bullied for it, as well as a humming tic where I’ve gotten in trouble in class for, and where I blink rapidly. I’m so proud of you for sharing your experience on social media. I would never be brave enough. Stay strong!💪 👏 ❤

I love your videos. Yes, some of your tic trigger mines, but I can’t help it lol. I love your content now, love watching your videos, watching another autistic person, someone I understand!
