Donald Trump given rockstar reception at Bronx rally

Thousands of people gathered in the New York borough of the Bronx for former US president Donald Trump on Thursday.

Trump’s visit to the Bronx comes as the 77-year-old attempts to secure the deep blue state ahead of the November 5 election.

Most residents living in the borough are Democratic voters, which led some to question Trump’s rally in the region.

Trump’s campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed the former president will not stop spreading his message.

“President Trump is unafraid to bring his message to every borough of New York, to every corner of this great country, because he believes his message is a winning one,” she said.

If the 45th president won the blue state, he would be the first Republican nominee in forty years to do so since Ronal Regan in the 1984 presidential election.
