Those are set up exactly the same way as the blades on the large disc mowers used on farms to cut hay. They’ll cut the heaviest vegetation at high speeds, and the only thing that slows them down is a lot of rocks and dirt. Their secret weapon is blade speed, hence why these tiny blades work so well.

My brother has a tortious that is the same size as that mower an he just lets her live in the fenced in back yard all summer and she does an awesome job. He never has to mow back there at all!
