For people who didn't understand the skit.

1. The gambler was about to win 2x of $144M, which would have been sufficient to find the cure to cancer. But if he had won, there were agents tasked to eliminate him. Hence, the seemingly "unlucky event" of not winning actually saved his life = lucky

2. A jeoprady question unrelated to the skit was "What is the worst thing you can hear after your wife gives birth?" The reason why the stranger asks this question is because of what the casino clerk said, which was "Oh no it's black, " causing the stranger to think of a jeoprady question as a dark joke.

3. Continuing on, the stranger answers his question with "nothing", which is a report given when there is a dead / still birth / unalive baby.
