Illuminate - Adam Taylor

In this episode of Illuminate we meet Adam Taylor who creates illustration artwork for printed products.He tries to create the artwork with the end printed product in mind by using lino prints, bright colours, and popular subjects. Adam started illustrating when he was very young and he always wanted to draw for a living.He took his passion for drawing to college and studied as an illustrator which led to him getting a job as a graphic designer. Although graphic design is his day job, the illustration side of things is where he finds freedom. The starting point for any of his designs is popular culture, because Adam believes the subjects need to be relatable. He works with lino print, working with one or two colours as opposed to a really detailed piece. Adam finds his inspiration from comic book artists like Jim Steranko and musicians as he finds he can listen to a CD, and the music can generate images and colours.
