One of the most epic Alphen moments in the DLC so far, this scene gave me chills!

We gotta remember, that Alphen is putting himself in excruciating pain wielding the Blazing Sword without the shattered Iron Mask that was giving him his immunity to said pain. He’s SO BADASS for that.

After the iron mask broke off, alphen now has hypersensitivity so the pain he felt when using the blazing sword was worst of them all because he was in a state of rage, he didnt control his sovereign powers and shionne wasnt able heal his hands midway

You see, shionne possess the fire master core, however at the moment of alphens inner rage coming forward, using his sovereign powers to keep the pain at bay along side using the blazing sword, at that distinct moment, upon releasing his rage, he was purely in control of the blazing sword, shionne did nothing because SHE could do nothing, alphen has the most control over the blazing sword at this point in time as shionne can control its astral energy flow, HOWEVER, she cannot stop another source of astral energy, that being alphen, from cutting off the master core supply given its strong enough to do so and simply control the the flow, as alphen grew enraged, the sword became stronger

Why is that Dahnans always hate magic or people who can use magic? Are they afraid of it, did the so called Gods of Rena say that magic is an offense against their will and people who use it are sinners, or are they secretly jealous of mages because they can use magic while the jealous ones can’t? I’m beginning to see why the Renans were able to conquer Dahna in just one night 301 years ago?
