Did you mean Shadows of Self or Alloy of Law? You said the first one in era two so I thought it would be The Alloy of Law

Die volume two is Amazing but volume 3 overdid the classics references IMO. Especially with the other stuff that comes in. I really want to read volume 4 when it releases though. Thanks for introducing that one to me :)

The only one I have read that is on your list is Die, volume 2. And I really enjoyed that. I finished the third volume last week and I can say that the series is building upon itself really nicely.

My top five that I want to finish reading:
1. Cast in Conflict by Michelle Sagara
2. The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang
3. Caliban's War by James S.A. Corey
4. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
5. Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta

I love The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde! It's Goldilocks and the Three Bears as an adult mystery.

I honestly hope you love Do You Dream of Terra Two. I think you will because it is quite character driven and does focus a lot on the human condition. It was a book I was super interested in but didn't realise it was more character driven and I am a plot driven reader so it was a bit lackluster and disappointed me sadly. I enjoyed the journey but hoped for more closure lol. i look forward to seeing what you think.

My top 5 are pretty hard to trim down but I'm currently inspired to read books with queer women, so space between worlds is on there for me too, alongside One Last Stop which is probably the book i want to read the most right now. There are also a couple chinese fantasy novels (that have TV shows I love) and I have the english translation for them that I want to try and read but they are BIG so they intimidate me ahaha.

I think I enjoy your channel just to see the UK/European covers. While I see you reading most of the same books as other Booktubers, your covers are the best! I also like that you read a lot of Scifis and I'm always adding things to my Goodreads TBR based on what you are reading.
Also I just finished Beach Reads and gave it 5 stars. It's the first contemporary romance that I've read this year that I gave a 5 star rating to.

Your top really reminded me of the cover for Small Pleasures, by Clare Chambers (which was longlisted for the Women's Prize). I hope you end up on this spot of the board soon :)

The Short Story that inspired Arrival is so good, you'll love it. I really liked the whole collection. The stories were written over multiple years and then combined in this collection, so they are all very different. My edition also had little commentary by the author about the circumstances of each story.

My top five books are probably:

- The Priory of the Orange Tree (it’s sheer size overwhelms me)
- The Mistborn Trilogy
- Malibu Rising (I was hyped for it, but the lackluster response to it has dimmed it for me a little)
- The Red Rising Trilogy
- Pachinko (people always rave about it so I HAVE to read it, but I literally know nothing about it 🤦‍♀️)

A darker shade of magic, daughter of smoke and bone, and the name of the wind are on my list to read this year. My tbr keeps growing thanks to booktube and your videos lol. I’ve really enjoyed quite a few so far.
