The scene with Gothi and "Sips" when he was going crazy (right before Erina sleep-darted him) makes more sense now.
Xanu was telling Gothi, his only friend, to run before the Curse hurt her.

5:40 I’m very proud of Sips bringing up the moral points here, about how they may be dead or a whole new generation, I don’t think he would have brought that up at the start of the series. Picky murder hobo indeed! Also seeing more of Erina’s internal struggles with basically abandonment, very good episode
