Thanks for this tip! I was looking for a Quaxly to to complete my dex. This method took about 15 minutes to complete, due to people connecting to trade and putting up the same starter as me. If you keep trying some one will eventually trade you the correct starter.

Just FYI, if you play pokemon go you can link it to pokemon home and violet to trade between each game. You can also receive all staters of all generations this way, exception is legendary I believe.

Another way is to transfer pokemon from pokemon go into your home account, and then to scarlet and violet. Thanks for this guide though, I learned something new today!
