Repeat after me: You don’t have a cortisol face! 💆‍♀️ There’s a lot of talk online, but let’s set the record straight—cortisol is a stress hormone, not a cause of facial puffiness.

Cortisol does play a role in managing stress and inflammation, but it doesn’t create a so-called ‘cortisol face.’ When people see puffiness, it’s usually other factors at play—diet, sleep, or even allergies. Real cortisol-related facial changes happen only in serious cases, like Cushing’s syndrome.

Next time you’re feeling puffy, check the basics first! #DermTruth #CortisolFace #SkinScience #PuffyFaceMyths #boardcertifieddermatologist

I had puffy face even on a hyposodic diet, but truth is nothing makes you swell more than an overload of carbs, or having late snacks, or getting wasted the night before or just having a bad night of sleep.

To say cortisol has zero effect on acne is absolutely FALSE!

How bad is US education when a doctor denies the impact of an elevated stress hormone on the look of someone’s face and overall health..
