My baby had the problem of craving for cement, she will be quiet sitting in the corner cracking walls and she was only 2 years. My sister is a doctor so she adviced me to feed her food that will raise her iron level, she said it's iron deficiency. We did that and it's been over 2 years since she stopped having those cravings

Sand from the playground is crazy. Saw a kid take a shit on the ground back when I was daycare and let me tell you that kids in general are filthy little creatures.

Sand isn't dangerous for your body. Kids eat it all of the time. What's dangerous is the sand she eats because of where she collects it from.

Did anyone realize that almost every sort of this addiction comes from an accident or depression?
Like videos on TLC there are addictions on maple syrup, rocks, coke... these addictions all begin on depression

📣she needs a chat with a Mental Health Therapist. She's 19 and has been a sand addict for 5yrs. Didn't her parents or siblings notice? She's at risk of bacterial and protozoan/parasitic infections. And what about her teeth? A dentist would notice quickly that she's chewing abrasives.

I recently started craving fine sand.
But to be safe, I first add a bit of salt, cook it dry for about 5mins. Wait for it to cool down and sieve it before putting small amounts in my mouth. The smell and taste become much better.

I don't swallow much of it, just like the crunchy taste in my mouth.

I believe am having this craving because I was raised in a coastal sandy town. I was probably eating sand when I was a young child.
