We all know the rules of the Middle East . They don’t have any public displays of affection out of wedlock . I don’t know why the gay community is moaning about the rules we already know .

It’s a pointless stunt. People are missing the point…. Nobody cares about what they do to gay people there, how they treat women, slave labour…. Nobody cares! Because if they did it wouldn’t be happening there! Money always trumps human rights in these cases - especially in sport!!

It does fascinate me how human rights, in a very conservative Muslim country during a sporting event became so important. When they were entirely ignored for over 2 years in the UK. Where were all those people screaming about human rights for the World Cup in the last 2 years when people were bullied and threatened into getting the jab ?

Don't give money to charities with CEO's earning six figure salaries.
That'll be the majority of them then

Qatar was awarded the World Cup in December 2010. So why all the fuss now .

The fact that he actually believed Beckham would take any notice of his "stunt" just goes to show how deluded he is

What a waste of money, but to be honest I think its fake money.

Beckham probably had a glass of something worth more than £10k while watching the video of him doing it and smiling to himself thinking what an idiot

IF this is true and he actually 'did' shred all that money - he should be ashamed of himself. So many people struggling to pay energy and food bills.

The BBC are a disgrace for not showing the world cup opening ceremony while forcing us to pay to watch them

He could have given the money to pensioners so they they might have a warm home and food on the table for a few weeks this winter.

I'm disgusted with the Beckhams, are they truly not concerned about the people of Qatar. Is money more important than the wrongs in that country. Can they as a family really sleep at night. With a clear conscience..or do you dream the pound sign..Linda Bellamy

Why aren’t all the worlds media including the BBC and ITV have their studios in their own countries and literally leave the commentators to go over there? Hearing lineker and the others yesterday explain why they are there was hilarious and self righteous

Joe Lycet has lost his grip on reality if this stunt is genuine.
