I have an idea about this Chase that I hope that everyone can agree with and I will use this year as an example. First, only winners of the 26-race 'regular season' get in and must maintain to stay in the top 20 in points to get in.(Kyle Busch won't be in with this format, sorry.) The Chase can be up to 16 drivers but it won't be guarantee. So there would be only 10 drivers in this Chase and 2 will be eliminated each round. Second, the rounds of the Chase will be different. The 1st round will be the first five races of the Chase. (Charlotte and Kansas will be added.) If you win any of these races that doesn't mean you automatically go to the next round. The drivers will have to maintain their position in points in the other races to advance. (Hamlin would not advance to the next round in this format.) The next round is the Talladega round. I talked about this last year that in the Contender Round that whoever won at Kansas and Charlotte wound not have to worry about Talladega and I did not like that. This round would almost be like the Homestead round but the title is not on the line. In this round, there will be 8 drivers and if one of them wins at Talladega will advance to the next round and the other highest finishing 5 will join him or if a non chaser wins then the highest finishing 6 advance. The next round will be like the first round with 6 drivers remaining. They would have to maintain points in these races in this round, winning one of these races or not and the highest 4 in points advance to the championship and that round will be the same. (Highest finisher of the 4 wins the title) I want this Chase to be legit and for points to still matter because we almost had a winless champion last year and I did not like that at all. This Chase format will get rid of this from happening and will determine a true champion that is a WINNER.

NASCAR should start keeping track of most gained and lost positions on restarts. I bet Jeff Gordon would have the most positions lost then anyone.

Now I think it is pretty stupid to race with a torn ACL, but if I was in his position in the chase, I would try to make it to the championship. If I don't I will get it as soon as I get out of the chase.

What a horrible package /: Edwards had like 20 plus fresher tires and couldn't win... Once your in the lead well that's pretty much it... Basically the race are in the pits and restarts.
