Another sweet blade I gotta talk myself out of ordering, lol... also love d2 but i also recently got a couple knives in dc53 & that stuff is tough. D2, dc53 & 14c28n are my preferred steels nowadays. Awesome steels without the crazy price attached. Big 👍

I've bought a couple of Ned Foss knives. They're well made but heavy knives. The pocket knives I've picked up. Were far to heavy to be pocket knives. Even the Buck 110 isn't as heavy, and that's a bitch to carry in your pocket. Which is why they sell it with a belt sheath.
I'd wager their belt knives would do just fine. Though I've not bought a Ned Foss fixed blade.

I wouldn’t choose D2 for any sort of chopping implement but that is a very nice looking blade.

You got to replace all your kitchen knives with survival/bowie knives. It's what I did. I threw all those kitchen knives in the trash. I got a cleaver coming in the mail. It's not a kitchen cleaver. It's an outdoors cleaver I'm going to use in the kitchen

Not what I consider a machete , but it's the size of a knife I carry most when I'm chopping my way through overgrown trails or whatever. The only time I wish I was carrying a full size machete , like the monster Gerber that my wife bought me 😅....is when I come upon a thick 6' snake that has a problem 😅. The further away I am , the better. Seriously , that's a nice knife to use as a machete. I've been through a few. Including a couple of Chinese Cold Steel ones and a couple of large Bowie's.
