I think that this is the best remake that can be made from a game, because I have seen others remakes but none like this

I would get it if I had a Xbox360 I had great memories of the original halo, Alas I'm a ps3 fanboy and can't justify buying a console for one game I like.

@Filly309 Yeh, but this is a proper remake of the game with a whole new engine running on top.
A mod is just changing around some textures.

@BlackGabbath92 I heard somewhere that when Windows 8 comes out sometime next year, it would be able to play Xbox 360 discs. It might still be rumour, but fingers crossed!

I would buy a Xbox just to play & remember this game. The Halo series are the only games that i like from Xbox. I still have Halo CE from my old Xbox (because i had it, with Halo 2 also, & others games) before my ps3. The new graphics are awesome, but I think these guys are really smarts because they make a game that was made before and they are going to get 60 easy dollars or more from each buyer.

even 10 years old and I stil play it

@Gordaton they should just release the online multiplayer with a small price and that's it. Nothing here is actually really original and making the net code for it all I bet wasn't too hard either and if it's peer to peer servers aswell that's just an even bigger slap in the face.
