The problem is after the Soviet Union collapsed we told Russia we wouldn't expand nato it'll in fact we could have used those peace dividends to invest in our society instead of expanding militarily and squandering all that wealth as we have over the past 2 decades on futile military adventurism the point is we told the Russians we would not expand Nato up to their border but we did

Blinken dictates to Russia. This is a laughable proposition. In the end Russia will do what it wants.

I’m sure they gave the same warning to the Taliban. 😒

The question that needs to be answered is why are France, UK, and Germany not threatening Putin with defense mobilization? The EU nations have a much greater concern for a Russian invasion than the US for which it would be relatively inconsequential.

Russia has displayed a lot of patience already with the Americans. The Americans would not tolerate the Russians (or Chinese) messing around in Canada or Mexico, so why would the Americans think it's okay to mess around in Ukraine?

I'm laughing so hard about how they tried to make this a positive thing for Biden. Biden was done before he even started.

Ain't the EU heavily dependent on Russian natural gas? And what exactly the West has that Russia must rely on in order to survive?

What severe consequences? Sanctions? Worked so well last time 🙄.

Biden to Putin: You will incur severe penalties. And when you do, we'll leave behind our best Americans, weapons, and equipment.

If US has retreated from the underdeveloped Afghanistan, would US fight a protracted war at Russia’s doorstep? It requires quite a bit of resolution to risk the uncertainty of mutual nuclear annihilation intervening Ukraine/Russia conflict.

Russia isn't going to invade anyone, only in some peoples imaginations.
What Russia does have an issue with, is having NATO place strike weapons on the territory of Ukraine and other territories close to their borders which is why they were forced to produce hypersonic weapons and understandably so. They've felt threatened ever since NATO expanded east, which they said they wouldn't.

Let me get this straight. Biden wants to threaten and show great deal of concern over another country border and invasion, but leaves the Mexico border wide open to anything while keeping the Canadian border closed? Lol let's go Brandon.

“Russia has accused Ukraine of its own military buildup”. Most stupid take from Russia yet. There is no universe where Ukraine invades Russia.

The administration who's first act was to lift sanctions on a Russian pipeline is going to do what? And does Ukraine get a refund on the bribes to Hunter?
