This video is sponsored by Cosmos: Possible Worlds, premiering on FOX on September 22nd at 8/7c.

One of the most impressive aspects of our modern understanding of the world around us is our ability to manipulate matter on the molecular level to generate new materials with interesting properties. This practice has brought about both the industrial revolution as well as the information revolution. Now, at the dawn of nanotechnology, we are poised to make a leap that is similar in magnitude. What are these innovative new materials? Let's take a look!

Wow. I have a reason to turn on fox. I almost feel dirty. But I'm definitely watching.

Can you do a video about black holes and singularities? Is there a difference and what are their properties?

What if we separate water to h2 and o and use h2 in fussion reactor to make Carbon to make dimonds using HPHT ?

I love how he has the exact same tone in all of his videos including his debate and educational videos. "This is why you're a moron" loll

The elevator to space sounds very nice and all, but if it ever breaks then needing to learn a new language to speak to my family will be frustrating.

Can’t wait for the space elevator to be built so there would be no flat earthers

Good video, but I'd like to point out that even graphene-like materials aren't good enough for a classical space elevator

We're much more likely to use superconductor active support towers and/or orbital rings with spinning cores. We can basically already do it at our current tech level (save for room temp superconductors of course)

The best carbon containing molecules are biomolecules...such as proteins, lipids, vitamins and carbohydrates
