Walkers Haute Day 10 - Solo Hiking from Zinal to Gruben

My attempt to hike the Walker's Haute Route by myself in 13 days.

This was my tenth day of hiking the Walker's Haute Route. I start at Zinal and hike to Gruben. Things start looking and sounding very German from here on out. A steep uphill to begin the day and some more uphill after that before ending the day on a long downward path along some awesome streams that snaked their way to the valley floor. There was a race being held during this part of the hike which made the day a little more busy and entertaining than usual. I would see more of them the next day as I hiked to St. Niklaus. The weather was perfect and my phone started working normally this day so I was in high spirits. It was a great hiking day.

The trail and the surroundings are simply perfect for hiking. Views are simply gorgeous.

Wow, that was a steep climb. At least you had some sour apple rings. They are helping a lot. With everything. 😉
