I'm still doing tutorials because I'm still trying to figure out if I wanna get into web development or data science. At this stage can't make my mind up so I'm learning abit of both while ensuring I get my hands dirty by doing mini coding projects.. anyway eventually I'll find my way.

Jezus Christ man, I just finished my online class for college (learning ruby on rails, ) and this is what exactly I was about to do, to start another tutorial after already finished 2 short tutorials. I'd better start doing a small project. Thank you for the tip !!!

I think part of the problem, is the retention rate from just coding along with a video tutorial is so low. If I don't have a strategy for taking notes from the tutorial, it is not that helpful. (although you can refer to the code you created with the tutorial, and use it as some sort of reference for your future projects).

I get stuck in feature hell which is thinking of a personal project and being o shit I'm going to want to make a desktop app with javascript google how and boom gotta learn a new framework for that eletron.js also umm i'm wanting to use other websites api's well looks like i gotta learn rest api another course. Umm, do i want to save/load data on clients pc? well gotta learn how to do client side storage another course. So, my project ideas just take me constantly take me out of my scope of knowledge....
