This guy trying to downplay this storm. What he's not telling you is that this thing is likely going to be at least a Cat 2, and it's headed for the US coast. Everyone in the Gulf Coast should prepare for another Cat 3-5 storm. This guy is a climate denialist or his bow tie is cutting off the blood supply to his head. Think of a place for your car, prepare documents and valuables and what ever else you might need (water, shelf stable food, batteries, chargers, gasoline, etc), especially when power can stay out for a 1-3 weeks. It will take you days to sort this out. The reason why you see flooded cars is because you can't prepare for these in just 48-72 hours, which is the best our forecasting can predict accurately.
