I think this is the 3rd or 4th AMA now where Gribbly said the UI performance isn’t great.

So, what I'm getting here is that Rec Room is in sort of a "developmental" stage where there isn't much actual work being done to fix current issues, bring back beloved features, take community feedback into consideration. It's more of developing the rooms 2.0 stuff to set them up for the future, so that they can push all of these problems to the side until they're done with whatever they're doing right now, and THEN they can get down to it and fix all that stuff. I think the real community is being very honest, blatant, and transparent with whatever they feel like needs to happen, and none of this is being acknowledged properly. You can tell us directly that you don't care about our concerns and are doing whatever the heck you want, that's fine, SAY that then, tell us what's going on, don't sit there and lie to us saying that you're listening to us when you clearly aren't! It's YOUR game, you can do what you want with it, but if you're wanting community feedback, you can't just deflect every question you get asked. Also, I don't know what kind of NDA you signed, but it seems like you can't reveal any details about anything. You say that there isn't enough money, there aren't enough employees, the servers can't handle it, etc. but you don't provide ANY further details! It gets to a point where we don't know if we can trust anything you're saying. You're ripping the old game apart, and I really want to stand by Rec Room with every decision they make, but it's getting so bad lately that I don't even want to play the game anymore. All the old features that made the game fun were removed, so it's just a shell of what it once was. It's really disappointing. I also hate the work being done with the "new" bean; it sucks. If I have to use that or full body avatar, the game will be unplayable for me. I can't stand the way those avatars move and interact. I felt extremely disappointed hearing that they want the old bean gone. It is the perfect model for a game like this, it's worked just fine for years, there was no reason in tampering with it.

Id just love to see a option for the old menu the one from 2019 despite it being outdated. I would also like to see non-studio creators get access to some of the stuff in studio (id for models, animation, etc)

Question Order:

1. The slop content IS universally agreed upon in the recroom game community that there needs to either be consequences, or restrictions. Just because you don't priortize it, you could at least do SOMETHING. Sure, the reccomended tab changed the feed a little bit, but it didn't change the pubilicity of the content in it. Im glad they added at least a POLICY but only 80 rooms acted on? I get the game isnt as big as it used to be, but doesnt that seem like KIND OF a low number to anyone else? The 13 creators, depending on how big they were, is a decent number though.

2. This is a very good response, im happy with this question :D I just wish they warned the players ahead of time though, its like removing the weekly with no big warning.

3. Im glad they are doing something about the low quality rooms, but why is there always a "we'll get it done" response, but the problem still doesn't get somewhat fixed.

4. I still think we should have the ability to opt in or out of a split test :(

- We just want the weekly changes back man :( You guys should have removed the dailys instead, and u still technically can.
- He didnt really give us a clear answer for the slideshow, i guess policies is fair but that doesn't mean they couldn't have at least warned the players or let us know. They could also have put someone in as a filler.

7. im so glad this question was asked. I'm not really satisfied with the response though, you guys don't have enough people? Idk man, i guess the partnerships help with profit, but couldn't you guys make an full event with the collab? Or you guys would switch some focus to the events, it seemed like a BIG part of the community, it was for me. I believe some focuses could be changed.

8. just fix the ui bruh, it has gotten a LITTLE better but i think its because i updated my headset.

9. The frame rate has been perfectly fine with the full redesigns, idk what they mean with the crash rate, it was always fine for me.

14:22 i think they meant OFFICIAL weapons/guns, like if we could configure and have configurable settings like full auto toggle, fire speed/delay, ammo count, etc (mainly ammo count, though). not necessarily about the ability to create guns comparable in functionality and nuance to the official ones, although the ability to do so would be appreciated

Plus 90% of Rec Room players use old bean. And I think about 70% are going to quit the game because of the old bean removal

No hard feelings, but coming from someone who has been playing since 2018, I’ve seen how this game was and has become, And Im really unhappy with it, Keep the old bean, FBA’s and new beans are so irrelevant, cursed and abismal, New UI low-key kinda dry, messy, buggy

DO NOT REMOVE THE OLD BEAN 🙏
