If you love traveling off the beaten path, you’re going to LOVE Helsinki, Finland.

Helsinki was my first stop on my recent trip with the European Travel Commission, and I immediately fell in love with the city. Everything from the stunning architecture to the friendly locals, the delicious food, the love of saunas, focus on sustainability, and the huge coffee culture had me feeling right at home.

I hope if you’ve never been to Helsinki before, that this video inspires you to add this beautiful European city to your bucket list.

And here’s a quick mini guide to some of my favourite things I did during my quick visit in Helsinki:

1. The Helsinki Cathedral - one of the most famous sights in the city - and it’s GORGEOUS
2. National Library of Finland - is not only stunning but completely free to visit.
3. Finnish Museum of Natural History
4. Explore Helsinki’s Design District - an oasis of shops, cafes, museums, restaurants and more.
5. Hakaniemi Market Hall or Old Market Hall - for all the local flavours!
