Another possibility is to bring a pillowcase for your coat. Then you can use it as a head pillow or bolster.

interesting, I have never seen the type of straps that you have with your coat. Did your coat come with those or did you add them yourself. Great tip, even without the coat straps.

I like to put my travel jacket in a packing cube and use it as lumbar support or a pillow. In some older planes I sit on it. 😂 Some of those seats get overly U shaped and offer no support.

Or turn only the sleeves inside out, zip or button up ypur coat, then fold in half or thirds then roll. Much tighter.

Don’t take up room in the overhead! Just roll it or put in cloth bag to use as pillow.

Brilliant. I would always pack mine in my suitcase, when flying from PHX to SLC for skiing. I only needed it at the very end of the journey. Reverse on the way home. I only needed a coat to get to the airport, after that into the luggage.

To change your hack at the end you use a cloth bag and then you can use it a pillow especially if its a longer flight but love your hack

Get uniqlo down, its is foldable and has its own bag, when youre on the plane stuffed it in and use it as a lumbar support

If you're jacket has a hood, you can roll and stuff it into your hood. Super compact 👍🏽

I always carry extra bags with me and shove it in my bag lol. I use it later after I pass TSA.
