In 2019 who in the hell needs a damn library when you got YouTube channels like DPS Breakdowns teaching academic lessons.

Im a newer wrestler in highschool who comes from a jiujitsu background where I always relied on being defensive and reactionary to score wins, but I want to be able to push the pace as a wrestler and currently struggle to be confident with my shot. In practice, I can have a clean and smooth shot that honestly looks and feels pretty good, but I can never put it into practice when I go live. The seasons just started and this is my first year so I got a ways to go, but this video honestly really helped me and taught me something very interesting that I will def try to apply to my live wrestling next time I go for a shot, loved the vid thanks for the clear and concise breakdown <3
*Edit* I worked on the split step in practice and actually hit some takedowns IM E L A T E D BOIS

The classic level change always felt awkward, the split step feels the exact opposite. It gives forward momentum, helps with the level change, and loads the back leg much faster making it easy to spring towards the opponent. The definition of a game changer and something that takes years to naturally progress towards, brought to light for all beginners such as myself to enjoy. Thank you.

It’s weird cuz looking at Jordan’s double leg shot it seems very telegraphed but he’s so explosive and quick with it that you know what he’s gonna do but he still gets you

love the slow mo and the mini rewinds. it's something a lot of ppl don't do and it's very helpful.

What's jumps out at me is the distance covered in penetration, drive and persistence. His ability to keep moving forward, not quite a reshoot, is incredible

Thank you for taking time to produce these. I don’t have a wrestling background so this helps when working with my kiddos wrestling journey!

Another thing to add is his knee walk to get his hips in. Important piece that gets over looked.

Burroughs is brilliant! I really admire masters in just about any field, because you know they didn't reach their zenith overnight. You know they've paid their dues, suffered, failed over and over, and maybe even considered giving up. But they found something they LOVED, and fought tooth and nail to make what they do, seem easy! They become harsh critics of their own work, and they NEVER accept excuses, or poor efforts form themselves, which is very difficult for anyone. They never feel like they've "arrived, " so the grind NEVER stops! And we get to see the results, and can't help but appreciate it! The video does an excellent job of explaining Jordan's best takedown in simple terms, and you just know it took him years and years to perfect, and use against elite wrestlers.

I got to see Jordan wrestle in a Dual Meet with Fresno State, Davis & Nebraska. Such an amazing athlete & unless you’re standing next to the man you don’t realize what a physical presence he is

Those takedowns in the beginning are just beautiful.

Damn, outstanding work again, thanks man =D
I've seen that you only have 9 patrons, which is absurd, so I had to pull the trigger. It's not much, but know that your work is very appreciated!

I mean I'm nowhere near athletic enough to move like Burroughs, still cool technique just to know though haha.

I fucking love when you mix Audio with Text, it's the best form of learning for those who want to absorb knowledge from your videos. Also one can take a snap of those important concept schemes you show during the videos.

Thank you very much!

I watch this breakdown a couple times a month. The forward step and then level change never clicked with me, that drop into split step is my go to 💨
