Thank you for getting me interested in Emulation, your Emulation guides are the best to understand

I remember emulating PS2, Saturn, and Dreamcast around 2012 was tough and a bit confusing, but now even some of the cheap modern PCs can handle them.

Another good point to mention is how emulation keeps franchises alive, which, when a new game in that franchise comes out, makes more people want to buy it. I got into several game series through emulation, such as Dragon Quest, KoF/Fatal Fury, and Resident Evil, and I now buy every new game in those series.

Your videos have benefited me greatly as I now know how to setup emulators in order to play some of my favorite systems. Every video is explained in great detail and there is something to learn with every release. You haven't let setbacks or other distractions stop providing content and for this I'm greatly appreciative. Keep up the great work😎!

@ShandellJames
Thank you for your appreciation for wanting to preserve gaming history by emulation, I wish more and more gaming channels like yourself would voice this concern more often, take care bro and peace 🙏🏽.

These games are history, and should be treated no different than art or books and should therefore be Free to distribute and play. The companies have already made their money.

My father bought me and my sister the TV Pong Console back in the 70's and I remember playing Space Invaders in the local deli in the early 80's. My game life took off when my father bought me Coleco... And I still play all of them. I never thought I would own every console (emulator) and every game (rom), and they would all fit in a folder on my hard drive. Just to give you an idea about how far we have come - I was using 10 floppy disks just to install one game on the C64 back in the 80's. LOL.

Thanks for the history… I learned about emulators back in 2005 from a friend of mine in the Navy… back then I just had MAME which was awesome…. emulation has changed so much…. especially with these frond ends… Wow… I still hope to finish my arcade cabinet when I finish my time here in the Middle East … it will be a blast!

Open source Emu community (like ryujinx or shadps4 for exemple) should make documents about how to code on the emu or document how and why they coded that way so that if they closes, people have an easier time continuing the emulator as a fork.

Great video, very easy to understand with no geek jargon. My first experience of emulation was in the late 90s. I later then got into PC building specifically for emulation back in the early 2010s so I could play PCSX2 on the most advanced hardware at the time as it was cheaper for me to make my own build. In fact, every time I upgrade my PC hardware it is so I can play emulators that are more demanding like RPCS3, Cemu & the Switch ones. Cheers.

I am an older gamer…. I own an xbox s and PS4 …. which rarely get used…. I bought the XBox S for emulation ….but then MS put restrictions on it to where you had to buy the Dev Kit (which they never gave me) …. the PS4 I bought because of Battlefield 1 ….. I don’t care for a lot of the newer games or systems… I bought the Legion Go and put my collection of emulators on there …. amazing! Just power up and play…. I don’t have the patience for the new systems’ updates and patches….
