Pro tip, if you have 4 inspiration and an opportunity comes up to use one, just use it. You will lose any more inspiration you earn past 4 as 4 is the max.

Me, a good friend of mine and a guy I don't know that well played a couple of sessions of BG3, and while the three of us were separating from time to time me and my dude noticed we NEVER have any inspiration for emergencies, not a single one.
Turns out the third guy was using all of it without ever asking, eventhough he's played before and he knows they are shared. Aight I thought, he is a bard after all, maybe he is doing a lot of important socials in the meantime, but runs out of luck and has to use inspiration. But no.
He was spending it to
Pick.
Locks.
As a bard.
Random locks.
When we have a monk.
