0:53 is such a breathtaking moment, where the camera zooms into Belaf's eyes. His eyes literally shows his life philosophy that true beauty are in the look of the eyes. When they first come to the golden city, Belaf's eyes are hopeful and crystal clear. But when he becomes the centipede, his eyes become mouths and he asks riko to trade both of her eyes. It shows how the abyss corrodes a person's hope

Crazy how Irumyuui’s wish to save her friends, give birth, and for her to feel better got fulfilled in the most F’ed up way possible. The story telling in this series is amazing and (like many of you know) heartbreaking.

Everytime I see Iru and Vueko hug I can't help but tear up man. This intro really hits different when you finish the second season.

I CANNOT get enough of the scene at 1:12 where Riko blows her whistle and Ozen, Bondrewd, and Lyza are shown responding to it. Is it just symbolic? Can White Whistles actually hear other White Whistles from such an extreme distance? I don’t know but it’s just so cool, and then the beautiful animation and the incredibly fitting music/lyrics along with it?? That one scene makes me keep watching the opening over and over again, I love it so much!

0:28 Just noticed how Irumyuui gets scared when she sees Wazukyan and hides behind Vueko😭. Guessing it's alluding to his future actions towards her.

I love this opening basically says that no matter how deep you go into the abyss there is a tragic person there awaiting in the darkness. Waiting for light to appear once again.

I love the unique setting of Made in Abyss. Majority of the anime are about ascending, climbing up towards protagonists' goal and whatever it is. But in Made in Abyss, it's just keep on descending. As well as the protagonists' status and the near environments. SO DARK.
