The kids at the end singing to "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" gave me the most serious goosebumps and I started tearing up. I've never felt about music the way I do when I listen to a Tame Impala song. Love love love Kevin Parker.

I listened to Currents after a bad breakup of 6 years. I drove around town just listening to it .. night after night. It made me feel less alone, sad, made me feel understood and that everything would be ok. thanks Kev

I’m a huge hip hop fan, and don’t usually like a ton of other stuff. But when I heard “Eventually” on a Beats1 radio show, it changed everything. I immediately listened to Tame Impala’s entire discography, and fell in love. It also inspired me to branch out and listen to other similar/alternative music. Thank you Kevin Parker for changing my outlook on music

I was lucky enough to see Tame Impala this year in London. Before playing "Feels like we only go backwards" he apologised for not releasing an album for a while and said he doubted whether anyone would want to see him live! It astounded me how humble and unaware of his own talent he is. Luckily the whole crowd made it clear we love them.

Kevin Parker has also produced and featured on Travis Scott's "Astroworld" and Kali Uchis's "Isolation".

i think it's ironic that Kevin thought Currents was unlistenable and people wouldn't like it, but it was literally the album that launched him into fame. He must've been so shocked haha

The first time I had ever heard Tame Impala's Currents album, I could have sworn I had listened to it before but I hadn't. The way each song unfolded and swirled itself into a wave of feelings and shrouded emotions just struck me with a familiarity only so few other albums could accomplish. At that point I had not heard any of their songs but once heard, they stuck as if I had listened to them for years. It's quite an odd feeling to put into detailed words, but it was and still is a feeling only they have beautifully encapsulated.

Kevin Parker is one of those rare individuals he has a a love for music, talent that has been sharpened by hard work. I feel he is a living legend in music today, and will only grow from here

damn that clip of the students singing at the end really got me. I wish Tame Impala was around back when I was in elementary school. I can't believe the "I was born in the wrong generation" circle jerk exists. We have more great music than ever because of the internet. Yeah, sure, that means we also have more shitty musicians putting their music out there, but it also opens an avenue for truly creative geniuses who don't have insane connections to release their art freely. Shitty music has ALWAYS been around, but now people like early Kevin Parker have the means to release their work that they recorded in their apartments to the world. We live in a golden age of music, don't let the POP MUSIC BAD OLD MUSIC GOOD" people distract you from that.

Of all the documentaries and video essays I've seen on TI, this is by far the best. That clip of the kids at the end literally has me in tears realizing how beautiful it is to have a unifying musical force alive today. We always think of artists like The Beatles and Michael Jackson as these wonderful gifts of past lives, but my god, we have our own today, and his name is Kevin Parker. He doesn't just enrich individual lives with his music; he brings us together and reminds us of man's best nature in the face of an unredeemable and bleak outlook. No matter how bad things are now, and no matter how far down we spiral... no matter if we are allowed to continue at all, we have today. We have this moment, and for me, it is defined by Tame Impala. No one can take that away from us. What a fucking gift.

It Might Be Time, Posthumous Forgiveness, Lost In Yesterday & Borderline. The Slow Rush is destined to be an album to be remembered.
