I love Alex her straight forward approach, the funny faces she pulls when she's iffy, she is firm and knows her stuff, and she has a heart of gold.

I really enjoy watching these types of shows, but it never ceases to amaze me how the clueless owners always seem to want the show's host to gush and sing their praises - as if the ONLY issue is 'other people' and never them.

This aired in 2011 and in 2014 the reviews were horrible!! The hotel must have changed ownership as reviews of 2024 were fabulous and looks totally remodeled!

The chap thought he was going to buy a hotel, sit back while everyone else did the work as he gave out orders. Wow did he get a jolt. He's an unlikeable character.

Can't believe his wife, who turns out to be a servant under his command, hasn't told him she's on strike until he picks up a broom.

I always think it's funny when a business is bombing, they bring the expert in, and the owner still thinks he knows better...EVEN THOUGH HIS BUSINESS IS BOMBING! LOL! Perhaps that's why.

The problem is that the inn mirrors the husband’s personality. Dry, boring, clueless. What on earth were they thinking? Ugh! And he’s so pompous.

I was struck by the generous and kind spirit of the young man who owns a successful nearby establishment. Look at the difference in attitude of open, non judge mental and closed and rigid. And look at who is successful!

Narcissistic executive man tells his worn out wife to go look for somebody while she struggles with packages. Next shot he reaches over a table of diners to put down coasters, so rude. Decorating a room is an art. Unfortunately this couple is not artistic. He is belligerent and it is his downfall. Failing business sense he should sell it.

He could have donated that furniture to a homeless charity ; burning it shows his arrogance / as for handing a ‘hotel’ flyer to a big issue seller ? ; he’s a disgrace
