If you have an upstairs neighbor, you understand. If you don’t, you’re either a part of the few lucky ones or you ARE one. Noisy neighbors are a nuisance, and David and Julia are no exception. This is what your upstairs neighbors are really up to.

Oddly comforting that this is such a universal experience

99.99% of all upstair neighbours can't walk properly.
Why do you need to slam your entire foot into the ground when walking?

"we often take shifts to create the illusion that nobody here sleeps" LOL it feels as if my upstairs neighbors are awake and in their apartment 24/7. I hear them all hours of the day

I'm 23 years old and I'm not some grumpy old man but seriously wtf are the people upstairs doing? They sprint from one end to the other I'm not even kidding. SPRINT

My upstairs neighbours can't stop moving. I am really fascinated of how there is never a longer than 10s gap without them walking like golems or reestructuring the entire apartment. Truly an enigma. Some nights I think of many ways of tormenting them instead of counting sheep; I get diabolically creative.

I'm still trying to figure out how my upstairs neighbors managed to fit horses in that tiny apartment. They just never stop galloping.

I’m an upstairs neighbor because as an apartment dweller for decades I’ve refused to live anywhere but the top floor for just this reason. I never forget there are people below and literally tiptoe in my place. Recently my downstairs neighbors told me I’m the best neighbor and am so quiet. I was so happy. :)

My upstairs neighbors have been in the middle of a move for the past 2 years…

Personally, I just love hearing them repeatedly drop everything they own on the floor all in the space of 5 minutes

I'll never forget the look of bewilderment on my upstairs neighbours faces when I asked them to stop bouncing a BASKET BALL inside at 10pm

Anyone got the neighbors who vacuum hardwood floors and rearrange their furniture every _single_ day?

Why is it so hard to construct a well-isolated ceiling where it doesn't sound like it's gonna crash down on you at any moment? WHY??

I have these exact neighbors. They never sleep, their lights are always on and vacuuming involves dropping bowling balls on the floor. They also are in a hurry to go no where pacing the entire apartment nonstop.

Who has a neighbor who keeps changing furniture position every week ?

Don't forget the random item being dropped on the floor, presumably picked up, then dropped on the floor again a few seconds later. This is brilliant, and may just have prolonged my upstairs neigbor's life a little longer. :)

I recently moved to a new apartment with my girlfriend where there is actual sound isolation and there is literaly not a single day that goes by where I am not lying in bed being grateful for this. It's like when your nose is clogged and you get kind of mad that you took an unclogged nose for granted.

😂Stop! My neighbors literally wait until 11:30PM to BEGIN moving furniture and dropping things! 😣😣😣
