I taught my first public speaking course at the university level in 1988 and have taught it Non-Stop since then along with an incredible slew of other communication courses. I've designed courses for others to teach, for online and grounded courses, and also for self- directed learners. I've taught freshman, adult learners, and professionals. I've been a subject matter expert and have peer-reviewed courses. I've taught speech in a huge variety of contexts, including when I taught studio television production and audio production/radio station management. I've been a faculty advisor for a variety of student media and student activities that involved public speaking. I've had success in another field that gave me some media exposure in which I had to practice what I preach. I guess you could say that I have truly done it all when it comes to public speaking. But this guy is so much better than me. I'm an old woman now, but I'll love this guy forever. In all these years, I have encountered no one better. And, yeah, I should know what "better" is.

Thank you! I go to Allen Jay Prep Middle school, and we have something called rally which is a time in the morning (almost like a school assembly) where the whole school gathers and the principal does a small presentation about leadership and there's a group called AJP in the morning who perform every morning in rally. They say the breakfast, lunch, sports, and they have a special segment where we just do a small game. I'm part of AJP in the morning, we are all 8th grade students talking in front of 400 middle schoolers. It's hard to gain their attention, especially on Monday, where they're chatty. I'm trying to improve my segment, (I say the lunch everyday). I think I know how to make it better.
