In February 2021, NASA released an incredibly detailed panoramic image of Mars, captured by its Mars rover, Perseverance. The image is made up of 142 individual shots, taken by Perseverance's Mastcam-Z camera, which were then stitched together to create a 360-degree view of the rover's landing site in Jezero Crater.

The image is the highest-resolution panorama ever captured on the surface of Mars, with a total of 1.8 billion pixels. It allows viewers to zoom in and examine details as small as a grain of sand, providing a fascinating look at the Martian landscape.

It's hard to believe we are looking at another world's surface! 60 years ago, it was believed that Mars had canals...now we see it for how it really is! Amazing! Thank you ElderFox for your accuracy and reporting!!!

Absolutely incredible Martian landscape, eerie and desolate but stunningly magnificent even though it’s a barren planet. This 360 degree panoramic mosaic makes it come alive from millions of miles away

I want to touch Mars with my bare hands so badly! Or at least bring back Martian soil (regolith) to touch, smell, and taste. Sprinkle a little Martian dust on my pizza or salad lol

What does the depressing music have to do with it?
How would you like to live the rest of your life on that dead planet?
