Superb contrast to the dixieland rhythm of, say, the Condon's Chicagoans version! Beautiful and atmospheric, with all the toff's jigging about the Savoy!

This is a great 1920s song with such a memorable melody and the Savoy Orpheans are on good form.

The Orpheans' version are usually the definitive ones and this is no exception!  Wonderful!

Top class - fits right in with that beautiful shot of the Orpheans near the beginning of the video. Anne Lenner spoke once in an interview about how even the air at the Savoy had a magical quality to it and this certainly does too.

This sounds so clear and sharp for a 1926 recording. I seem to detect a big jump in recording clarity around 1930+. Why is this one so good?
