Thank goodness I know what the audience looks like while she’s up there dancing away.

Gee I wish they wouldn’t have missed capturing half of this queen’s performance by filming the audience! 🤯

As they pan away during the most iconic moment of the entire number 🙈

JESUS CHRIST ! SHE IS INCREDIBLE ! SHE DIES FOR THIS ROLE ! Her dancing technic ist excellent, her musicality is 100%, and she does act this role in such a way, that one trusts each single word that she says!

I have chills all over my body. She is so present in every single movement. Her facial expressions are never missed. She really is dancing for her life out there.

She feels every moment intensely and it’s reflected in her acting, singing and dancing all together. She’s true to the story. Nothing else counts, as far as she’s concerned. And she’s vulnerable as hell. It’s real to her. Every moment. She even makes you see the descending mirrors, and herself in them, even though, physically, they’re really not there. But you believe they are because she believes they are. This is how live theater is capable of moving an audience when it’s done with integrity and commitment.

Might just be me, but I feel like it’d be a very strange experience to perform this number without a mirror. I mean, Cassie says it herself, she only needs two things: the music and the mirror. I think the absence of the mirror here takes an element of the performance away. (Robyn makes it work though, she’s just so strong in this role)

I have never seen this dance so close up....I really resented seeing the audience AT ALL, like someone mentioned. This woman is beyond sexy, and I didn't need to miss one second of it. Shame on you.

Robyn Hurder is incredible in this number. It's just too bad that it had to be done without the mirrors and the full orchestra that adds to this number. Also, did the camera man have to film the audience every few seconds as well as close ups when she is performing. We missed so many wonderful part of the dance. Still, she is a wonderful Broadway dancer!!!

This brings back memories of seeing Donna McKechnie in the original cast of A Chorus Line; learning Robyn is going to star in SMASH in March/April brought me here. So glad I did, such an amazing performance! I don't know about the show but she's going to slay as Ivy Lynne! Thumbs Up!!!

She is just wonderful. It’s amazing how the lack of the orchestra & lack of those mirrors really impacts the whole piece.

currently sobbing as i watch this lol because this is my #1 dream role and literally all i want is to wear that red leotard and perform this number on stage. i've been dancing since i was 3 and i start college next week studying musical theatre, and it's really starting to sink in that i am actually pursuing what i love most, which means i am one step closer to this dream. robyn is one of my biggest idols, and i grew up obsessed with the music man movie her husband, clyde, was in, and then a year ago he was a judge at one of my dance competitions and gave me some of the best compliments i've ever received as a performer. needless to say this video makes me extremely emotional and i'm feeling all the feels right now. follow your dreams, kids. ❤️

The dancing is good, but what’s up with the music? It’s killing the drama of the piece.

the lack of an orchestra is homophobic
