Hallo LerneDeutsch! In English, as you know, we don't combine words quite like Germans. However, an example might be gradeschooler. That's a shorthanded way for referring to a student in Elementary School or "in Grade School". One might say he or she is an "elementary school student" or a gradeschooler. (My auto-correct is trying to tell me there's no such word as "gradeschooler" but there *is*. :) ) One would never refer to a highschool student as a gradeschooler (at least in my experience). One also hears highschooler in English (another concatenation). For College or University one says "He or she is in College"; "He or she is studying at the university"; or "He or she is in graduate school or a graduate student." (Alas, as far as I know, one doesn't say "gradschooler".) As for the difference between "studying" and "learning". They're mostly interchangeable but, loosely, "studying" is something one does in an academic setting while "learning" is something I can do at your channel. But that's a loose difference. If I were "learning" German at the University, I would say I'm "studying" German. When I come here to brush up on my German :), I would say I'm learning German on youtube with Steffi.
