All legit suggestions. Learned a few things too!

In older bikes especially, you don't want condensation. Carbureted bikes I think were where the whole 'Run it until its hot' thing came from, for a bike that's sitting for a while. Newer bikes have a coating inside the tanks to help prevent rust if a bike sits over the winter. I always recommend just draining the fuel, and covering the bike. Throw something around the tank if you're worried about it. I've heard ethanol free gas is okay to store in a bike that'll be sitting over the winter because it doesn't separate and form a layer of water on top. What are your thoughts on that?

Also do you have any Winter specific tips? Like dealing with salt from the roads, or when not to ride, etc.? Thanks for the helpful info!

Just subscribed on this video. Was a bike mechanic for 15 years and been riding for 30. GREAT advice tips for riders!! Just got my first Aprilia RSV4😊 Also appreciated your SC slip-on video. So many companies sell worthless crap with fast talking and a fancy presentations to those that don't know any better. Great job!!

5:13 I've been back riding for tje last 3 years and had previously seen these puncture repair kits used on Aussie truckers driving road trains across the outback (on TV ) and as soon as I saw they were available in my local (UK 🇬🇧 )thrift store I bought two (one for my dad)plus spare threads. Fortunately I've not had to plug my motorcycle tyre, yet but i have plugged two car tyres and they do work a treat. I have looked into the emergency gas tyre inflators but haven't bought one yet as they do carry some risk, so in the event of a puncture on my bike I'm relying on a kind hearted motorist taking pity on me as most modern cars carry a 12v compressor as part of a tyre repair kit as an alternative to a space saver or spare wheel.
Im still running a tinted visor so the tip on carrying a spare will come in handy with our weather being so changeable atm.
Love the vids, very informative, concise and to the point

Love the axle torque tip. The tool kit is helpful too, has saved me as well. I also buy 4 oil filters at a time, this is the way!

Yup. Keep this up! You keep it real, and kind of calms down the nerves of new riders.

These are all solid tips. Great video, with helpful reminders for experienced riders too. I’ve lived through just about all of these scenarios except the axle nut/wheel bearing nightmare; lucky I hadn’t done done that pre-Internet.
Here’s the two tips you missed:
Download your service manuals. You can find them free online.
Get a torque wrench.
