I got an rx 6600 paired with the R5 3500 and I honestly can say it runs wayyy better than expected. Still has it downfalls given it’s not 6 & 12 like the 3600 for streaming purposes, but other than that it’s safe to say I’m happy with the 3500 for my budget build I started a couple months ago.

Hi Odin Hardware, I'm in a process of building budget pc and this ryzen 5 3500 seems like a great option. In every review You reviewed ryzen 3500 You say it has a poor IPC (in the comments when You answer viewers).. this is clearly not true. As we all can see from this review when both processors 3500 and 3600 run at the same clocks they achieve same FPS in most games... weirdly enough, in some games 3500 performs even better. Therefore Your theory about poor IPC isn't true.. the difference can only come from larger cache on 3600 plus smt from which some games benefit..

I have ryzen 5 3500+rtx 3070. Some games r3500 bottlenecks my 3070. So I adjust the reso into 1440p(DSR).

hello! i just upgraded to a 3070 ti but it’s paired with a ryzen 5 3500, is it worth it to buy a new processor on AM4 (planning Ryzen 5 5700x or 5600x if ever, 5800x3d is too expensive for me) or do i just stick with it and upgrade to AM5/intel platform in a few years? The 50-80 fps on cyberpunk I get is really annoying and it sometimes dips to 30 even when I drive fast.

i have a 3500 and im noticing a lot of random spikes, drops in fps etc in modern games. could it be the cpu? (paired with a 1660s). my friend runs wildlands smoothly on a 3600+970 more than me at high settings so im now suspecting its the cpu. have you had this issue too?

I'm using R5 3500 with RTX 3060 12GB and meet regularly fps drop with some open world games like Cyberpunk 2077, Mafia 3, Marvel's Spiderman Miles Morale, Horizon Forbidden West, ..., especially in crowd area. If I swap to R5 3600, is the problem solved?

I see, you can noticed the 1% low fps on both cpu are different. I would say on average, 3600 got higher fps than 3500, in other words 3600 have better minimize the fps drop than 3500. Nice comparison 👍
