Sandip Ghosh, Ex-Principal Of Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital, Arrested By CBI After 15 Days Of Grilling

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of government-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital where a 31-year-old trainee doctor was raped and murdered last month.

According to officials, Ghosh and three others were arrested by the central probe agency for his alleged involvement in the financial irregularities in RG Kar hospital. Three others who were arrested along with Ghosh were Biplav Singha, Suman Hazra and Afsar Ali Khan.

The former principal was arrested late in the evening after the CBI grilled him for over two weeks. The CBI also subjected Sandip Ghosh to a polygraph test.
