every cymbal is different even in the same series. you have to hear it in person. even the weight, if the same, cannot guarantee a similar sound. you may order a 16" k and it may sound clangy or just "not good". and bring along your existing cymbals to find a compliment to them.

Just got a brand new K 18” dark medium thin crash. Not brilliant it’s the best cymbal I’ve ever heard

I know this is a Zildjian vid, but before I start, and being an owner of several different brands of cymbals, Paiste 2002's, and sigs (especially sound edge hats) are superior imo. Zildjian can be funny. The K's are not always the best sounding. I have a medium thin 16 Avidis that may be my best sounding crash. I also have a K Custom Dry ride that I've been very disappointed with, especially when recorded. If I'm going with a Zildjian ride, I love the A Custom projection ride 20. The new K's may be dark, which is the thing these days, but too light, and no personality. If you're gonna spend the dough, go with Paiste. If you are a Zildjian guy/gal, check out some of the med thin crashes, and A Custom projection ride. Check em all. Don't buy anything online. Make sure you hear it, and love it
