Yo nací en Australia y a los doce años llegué en el Perú sin hablar ni una sola palabra de castellano. Aprendí muy rápido y a los seis meses ya hablaba, leía y escribía bastante. En los años siguientes estudié y conversé a diario y ahora, a los setenta y tres años aúnque hacen más de cincuenta años desde que partí del Perů todavía soy bilingüe inglés/castellano. Además, el haber aprendido castellano me ayudó a aprender italiano y francés. El tiempo que viví en el Perú fue muy divertido y me ayudó a comprender que todos somos hermanos y hay que respetar el uno al otro sin prejuicios. Como dijo Chabuca Granda, ¡Que viva el Perú y sereno!
