A Los Angeles Fire Chief Really Said THIS?

A video of the Assistant Chief of Los Angeles Fire Department has emerged in which she talks about the importance of having firefighters who look like they people they’re rescuing and says that if she can’t carry a man out of a fire, it’s the man’s fault. Plus, conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings absolutely eats up a debate on DEI. Let’s watch and react.

About 9 years ago, my car spun off the interstate into a ditch. I wasn't hurt badly, but I was panicked. A lady who was off-duty, but who I assume had been trained in first responding based on her language, pulled over, helped me out of the car, checked for any injury, and calmed me down.

She was a short, skinny black lady and whether or not she "looked like me" didnt matter, i was greatful somebody with the knowledge and skill to help in that situation did so.

So, I can imagine, I am in a burning house, trapped. Suddenly, a fireman hacks his way inside with the intent of rescuing me from the blaze. But through the smoke I noticed he is young and male and he doesn't look like me. I demand he leave and to send in an old woman to come rescue me. This makes exactly as much sense as what they are doing with their DEI scam now.

I used to be a female firefighter in the 90’s. It didn’t matter what gender or color I was. It ONLY mattered if I could do the job! PERIOD

I have a cousin living in GA who used to be a firefighter/EMT. During training, she refused to take the female qualification test. She demanded the standard one for men. Her rationale is that she needed to make sure she could meet needs of the job; drag a man or female to safety. She passed the men's test years ago. Recently moved on due to a bad knee and age. DEI has no part in jobs that require a certain standard to save lives. My cousin will be the first to tell you this.
