Thank you for adding your voice to the conversation. This is powerful testimony. 💜 Keep pushing. What you experienced was not love. Unconditional love would never see you as anything but the beautiful light you are. As someone who suffers from CPTSD I so relate to feeling unworthy of love, feeling fear of love, and seeking risk for coping. 100% this should be banned at the federal level and these folks need to be brought up on charges of child abuse.

thank you i also went to a religious school in MO that had a policy of 'pray the gay away' where you couldn't be lgbt+ unless you were actively working to 'heal' yourself of being lgbt including meeting with christian counselors/pastors attached to the school regularly. i just successfully stayed in the closet/was in denial
