The History Of The SS Andrea Da Vinci:
The SS Andrea Da Vinci Was Ordered In 1957 By Italian Line And Was Built At Cantieri Navale Del Tirreno Shipyard. The SS Andrea Da Vinci Replaced By The SS Andrea Doria Which She Sank In 1956. The SS Andrea Da Vinci Was Launched On May 22nd 1959. The Ship Was Completed In May 1960. The Ship Departed On Her Maiden Voyage At 8:30am On June 30th 1960 From Genoa To New York. In 1965 During The Delivery Of The SS Michelangelo And SS Rafaello She Cruising Along Together. In 1966 Along With The SS Cristoforo Colombo Are Repainted White. On April 28th 1975 She Was Laid Up At Genoa Along With The SS Michelangelo And Rafello. In 1978 She Used As Accomodation Ship In Black Sea In Russia, Ukraine And Georgia. On August 20th 1980 During Abandoned The Ship Caught a Massive Fire And Gutted 13 Decks Later Taking Water. On August 21st The Ship Rolled Over And Sank. In 1981 The Ship Was Raised And Refloated And Laid Up. In 1982-83 She Was Sold For Scrapping In Genoa, Italy.
