Looks cool! If the reports are right and this is only $525 I think Akai may have cracked the EWI code.
Other EWIs have been way too expensive but it seems like this is finally a more affordable route.

So, does it have pitch bend from the mouthpiece? If so, can it bend up or down from a set position (by pressure), and can the bend be held, like a real reed instrument, or does it auto centre, like on the EWI 4000s?

Does it have a MIDI socket?

FWIW, the octave rollers are probably my least favourite feature of the 4000s. It makes for very uncomfortable left hand fingering, since the thumb has to move around too much. I would have much preferred to see buttons, even if it meant a smaller range.

Hello, my name is Ricardo, I am Brazilian and I have an EWI USB, my notebook is defective and I cannot afford to buy another one at the moment, in my country it is very expensive compared to the USA and other countries. Akai should develop a quality sound application compatible with all EWI models, whether via cable or Bluetooth for its users, for Android and IOS systems, just like Yamaha and Roland did!!!
