I am glad I left decades ago, because the writing was on the wall even then. I do feel for rural communities though, they will suffer the most under a reign of latte-sipping, inner-city trendies in government.

I'm not even remotely surprised. I've long suspected the average Victorian to be pretty stupid. It appears that is true for over half of them.
