The Porsche Taycan Rear Wheel Drive ($115,680 USD as specced, UNAVAILABLE in Canada) is the newest EV in the Porsche lineup. This example has been optioned with the longer-range Performance Battery Plus, which extends its range from 431 to 484 kilometres. Thomas and James take it out for a quick review to see what it is all about. Will the slower acceleration be welcomed compared to the neck-breaking Taycan Turbo S or will it leave them wanting for more? Watch to find out what they think! Subscribe!

Two speed transmission
375 horsepower (470 hp during launch control)
Max torque 263 ft lbs (during launch control)

"...that's like someone saying someone's got a nice personality when trying not to say that they're ugly."

I felt that.

These guys should consider starting a higher production channel. Maybe with track tests.

Remember guys, this is the EXTRA channel. Mad.

Those wheels lol like they'd go on a Honda Odyssey

Imagine randomly finding this channel and being like: why is it cut off at the end???

As much as I was wondering when Thomas would stop explaining what this channel is, I for one is sad to not hear the explanation for once :/

This is a perfect example of the way a bad wheel design can completely ruin the look of a good car.

I appreciate that oversteer rant. In fact, the first time I've heard a reviewer get oversteer right. Mad respect to Thomas for that. 🙌🏁

I love throttle extra horse!

Edit: I have finished watching the vid, and after laughing loudly 3 times on the bus on my way to work, complete with being stared at by my fellow passengers (who either thought I was having a psychiatric episode or wanted to know what I was laughing at), I must reiterate what I have said previously. You guys have such amazing on-screen chemistry and, while the content quality is very high (even on throttle extra horse), I primarily watch for your banter and sense of humor. You two are the best thing on YouTube!

james is candidly really funny and i think extra throttle just shows that from the joke about looks to the "rear end fun time" to the exchange of fluids to yelling at trucks to the green light and lastly the cut.

Thomas's level of technical expertise is awesome, I love hearing the deep dives into chassis and steering.

This trim looks like it was designed by Pontiac Aztec designer.

"NO REAR END FUN TIME?!?" Either MY head's subconsciously in the gutter, or James YOUR head's subconsciously in the gutter (wouldn't be the 1st time 😂). Enjoyed the vid as always guys. 😉👍👍✌️

I love Thomas' analysis. it's so valuable. the only other big reviewers who would talk with as much detail and finesse about dynamics and balance at the limit, specifically the ones that you really want in a sporty car, are Mark and Jack at Savagegeese.

I swear. You guys are actually killing me with the endings. I can’t take it anymore

Can we get a video of the cold openings that didn't make the cut?

Wait... could someone please explain to me what the "extra" in "extra Throttle House" means?

14:54 I’m from Chicago and would’ve started honking a second after they didn’t move and then I would’ve yelled lol 😂
