The fastest time to solve a 3x3x3 rotating puzzle cube is 3.08 seconds, achieved by Yiheng Wang (China) at the XMUM Cube Open 2025 event in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia, on 16 February 2025.

As you can't refer to it as a Rubik's cube due to it not actually being Rubik's brand, I think you should refer to it as a 3x3 cube as speedcubers do, referring to it as a rotating puzzle cube could refer to any size of cube, if you need the clarity then even '3 layer rotating puzzle cube' is more acceptable, Teodor Zadjer solved a 2x2 in 0.43 seconds and the 2x2 is still a rotating puzzle cube. It also needs clarifying that this is the record at an official competition with verifiable results, many people have solved cubes faster but we can't prove their legitimacy as they weren't at official competitions.
