The CIA Once Trained a Cat to Be a Spy

From the Bay of Pigs fiasco to the tall tale of Iraq's "weapons of mass destruction," the CIA is no stranger to expensive and embarrassing blunders. One such blunder occurred in the '60s and was known as Operation Acoustic Kitty, a real-life program to train a house cat to become a super-secret spy. Unfortunately, even the most deranged cat hoarder knows cats are un-trainable, a bit of info the CIA, despite their vast knowledge, failed to realize. Cats, who rarely listen to anybody, would rather be jerks than the next Puss 'N Boots.

My cat expresses love. She yips at me every night when she wants to go to bed because she expects to cuddle up with me. She kneads her paws into my chest and will playfully bite my nose. She’s the most dog-like cat I’ve ever known.

That said, I know if I woke up one day and I was one foot tall she’d eat me no questions asked. Cats have their limitations

Loved the video! My grandfather is Victor Marchetti, which is pronounced Marketti (no biggie)
He was into some heavy stuff in the CIA. You guys could probably do a whole episode on him. Even though he is gone, it's nice to see that he is not forgotten.
